Preacher Turned Train Robber Convicted in Bedford Division Hold Up
George B. Cooper and William Fry were involved in the Bedford division train hold up near Mount Dallas on September 14. Cooper, a former Baptist preacher, was convicted as an accomplice and sentenced by Judge Bailey to fourteen years and a $150 fine with a possible new trial motion. Fry was killed by paymaster William Suder during the robbery.
