In Bangkok 852 schoolchildren aged 6 to 15 formed a ground tree formation at Siam Paragon mall to break the Guinness World Record for the largest human Christmas tree. The event lasted 15 minutes 29 seconds with Fortuna Burke certifying the record as a drone captured the scene.

A crowd of over 100 gathered at Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital for a 40th anniversary celebration honoring Lt. Col. Joseph A. Farley USMC born when the hospital opened on November 26 1973. Farley a 1992 Graham High School graduate now at the Pentagon spoke as guest of honor with CNO/COO Kathren Dowdy in attendance.

Trooper J L Morris of the West Virginia State Police, on duty near Camp Creek State Park, spent about three hours locating a Ghent area family of five two parents two teenagers and a 6 year old who were seven miles into the woods. The group was cold and tired when they were brought out at about 9 p.m. on Sunday November 17 and Morris returned to finish his shift.
Princeton project volunteers rename the old Lavon Theater the Renaissance Theater on Mercer Street. Fundraising funds renovations while painting and cosmetic work continue. The original seats will be refurbished and the interior remodeled in an art deco Renaissance color scheme.
