Dominion Energy halts $2B pump storage project in Tazewell County
Dominion Energy announced it is stopping development of the pump storage hydroelectric facility near Bluefield Virginia after seven years of study. The plan could have created 2,000 construction jobs over five years and 50 permanent positions while generating millions in tax revenue for Tazewell County and Southwest Virginia. Jeremy L. Slayton of Dominion Energy cited ending the project in a statement.
