Syria backed rebels give Arafat 72 hour deadline

In Tripoli Lebanon Syrian supported Palestinian rebels shattered a cease fire and gave Yasser Arafat 72 hours to leave the city. Police report at least 30 people killed as rebels shelled offices and nearby buildings while Washington linked Syria to a deadly Beirut Marine headquarters bombing.

Weinberger Says Iranians Behind Beirut Raid

Judge bars demolition of Concord College buildings

Princeton-Mercer Circuit Judge William O. Bivens Jr. issued a temporary injunction preventing the West Virginia Board of Regents, acting Chancellor William K. Simmons and others from demolishing two Concord College structures, McComas Hall and the Old Gymnasium, while a Dec. 8 hearing proceeds. Concord Heritage Association asked for injunctive relief amid bids to begin work on Dec. 19, arguing the buildings are structurally sound and usable.
