East River Mountain Garden Club met at Heritage Cafe Bluefield with co president Joyce Johnston presiding thanking hostesses Cathy Bailey Pat Tabor Suzanne Borenizer and Doris Sue Kantor New members Carol Buckman Kenna Lee and Faye Darby were welcomed Carolyn Morhous read the collect A program on orchid care by Kathy Smith and Nancy Pochick of Rose and Rainbows Flora followed The drawing awarded Morhous a potted orchid Tulip bulbs donated by Carol Buckman were planted at Bluefield High School with help from Sgt Dobbins and the Bluefield High School ROTC Landscaping additions include knock out roses at the site Annette Osborne and Joyce Johnston reported the Clearfork Library landscape plan is complete in Bluefield Virginia Roses were mulched two large pots with Alberta spruce and pansies placed at the library entrance Bluefield Regional Hospital trimmed and mulched their adjoining area Door prize was won by Carolyn Morhous.
