Boone Eason and Wood, Bluehiela controls, have been awarded the contract to build a Standard Oil bulk station at Beckley West Virginia. Giles Officials Hunt Prisoners After Jail Escape
Giles County Sheriff C. M. Camper and Bluefield police searched over two hours Sunday for four of eight prisoners who escaped from the Giles jail near Pearishore Inn and were sighted in Bluefield. The escape occurred shortly before midnight Saturday as the men leaped from a railroad freight train. A railroad agent saw the fugitives but did not recognize them as convicts. Sheriff Camper also sighted the group near Bluefield. local police were notified that evening.
