Joint Funeral Planned for Bailey and Mother Burress
A double funeral service will be held at Hawkins Funeral chapel tomorrow at 2 PM for James C. Bailey 27 of Bluefield and his mother Mrs Wiley H Burress who died within 36 hours of each other. Bailey a Bluefield Public Schools and Coyne Electrical School graduate was found dead from gas fumes at his Lewis Street home. Burress died from a stroke yesterday at 3 30 PM near East River Mountain. Bailey survived by wife Georgia Brumley and four children along with six siblings and relatives. Burress survived by husband and two sisters. Pallbearers named for Bailey include Minton Castle Hutchinson Morrison Farmer Hawley Gillespie Eubank Taylor Slade. Further arrangements will be announced.

James Harris Funeral Held for 84 in Bluefield
James Harris 84 native of Rhymney Wales died at home of his daughter in Bluefield of heart trouble. He came to America 27 years ago from Pittsburgh where he worked in steel forty five years. He is survived by wife Joan Hughes Harris and four grandchildren. The funeral is set for 2:30 pm at the Rodman home with Rev. Gunn and Dr. Crowe assisting. Burial in Woodlawn cemetery.
