Coal Bowl Tickets On Sale At Concord College

Tickets for the 1978 Coal Bowl are available at Concord College's Athletic Department in Centennial Hall. General admission is $3 and reserved seats are $5. The game is in Summersville at 2 p.m. Saturday with Concord facing Shepherd as the Southern winner versus the Northern titlists.

Neel Advances In National Punt Pass Kick Contest

Eddie Neel of Graham Junior High led the Cincinnati punt pass and kick event, winning his age group with a 42.2 yard punt a 36 yard kickoff and 39.8 yard pass. The national final would follow in Houston if he progresses.

Narrows coach Bill Patteson announced that if Narrows defeats Gate City Friday night it will host a Group AA semifinal next Saturday at 1:30 PM. The VHSL praised Narrows for running an efficient first playoff game. The winner plays Fieldale Collinsville or Appomattox.
