Demolition drive moves ahead in Mercer County
In Matoaka a two story brick building joined the demolitions as Mercer County progresses with 60 planned removals. Dilapidated structures officer Lori Mills said 20 structures have been torn down in eight days and 62 total for Phase II Batch 1. The state DEP awarded $750,000 last January, with $1.5 million already spent from a 2023 grant.
