Washington November 13 The government ordered a 35 cut in non military aluminum use effective January 1 to reserve metal for warplanes and munitions. William H Harrison administrator of the national production authority said unemployment may rise in some civilian plants and some price increases could occur though stabilizing effects may follow. He noted some manufacturers can substitute aluminum and that the order will fairly distribute remaining civilian supply. Much of saved aluminum will go to a government stockpile. Small users under 1000 pounds annually are exempt.
