Washington reports strategists urge Rush D. Holt the 29 year old senator elect from West Virginia not to take the oath until he reaches his thirtieth birthday on June 19. They argue constitutional age and precedents justify waiting to avoid a possible challenge from Republicans.

Medora Indiana November 13. Muriel Hunsucker 25 shot and killed Dorothy Weber 16 a senior then killed himself. The couple secretly married in Louisville over a year earlier. Dorothy had refused to live with him after the secret marriage became known. The killings occurred in front of a Christian church as Dorothy walked back to school after lunch. Hunsucker drove along the sidewalk calling to her and after a brief exchange, fired at her head and then shot himself. Dorothy is survived by her mother Mrs. Lewis Carr and others. Hunsucker had doubted family objection to their marriage.
