Alvin Carlyle Gallion 44 of Narrows Va died suddenly at his home Friday. He served in World War II and owned Narrows Cab Co. Funeral services announced for John Ross at Davy Church of God

Funeral services for John Ross aged 61 of Asco are set for Monday at 2 p.m. at Davy Church of God with Rev. Homer Snow officiating and burial in Justice Cemetery. Ross born in Milan Italy lived in Acso 40 years. a retired miner and United Mine Workers Local 5997 member. He died Friday in a Welch hospital after a long illness. Family includes Rosa Kimball Ross and four daughters, a brother in Italy, 32 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday 5–9 p.m. at Fanning Funeral Home. The body to be taken to the church one hour before services.

Alfred Allen Dillow, 34, of 406 Lazenby Ave, Princeton, died Saturday in Bluefield Sanitarium after a long illness. He was born in Tazewell, Va, son of the late John and America Booth Dillow, a World War II veteran and retired Haynes Construction Co. employee. He belonged to the Missionary Church at Gardner. Survived by wife Thelma J Neal Dillon, two daughters Mrs C L Honaker and Mrs Douglas Christian of Princeton, eight grandchildren, four sisters Martha Murry, Billie Paul, Lillie Hill, Katherine Cornwell, two brothers John Dillon and Gordon Dillon. Death of Boyd Johnson French at 69 in Rocky Gap Virginia

Boyd Johnson French, 69, of Rocky Gap, Va., died on arrival at Bluefield Sanitarium Friday night from a suspected heart attack. He was a longtime Virginia state forest warden, native of Giles County, and husband of Grace Day French. Survived by one daughter Edith Robinet of Princeton and five sons. Burial planned at French Cemetery with Hawkins Funeral Home handling arrangements.
