In Violet Virginia residents queued to view two cross silhouettes on a small translucent window in Leo and Loretta Alphonso’s bathroom after a prayer sequence. Visitor Evelyn Rodriguez said she entered skeptical but surprised by the sight. The New Orleans archdiocese had no comment. Volunteers report two crosses, one gold and one white, about ten inches high, with no apparent external lighting source explained.

Two seven month old Bengal tiger cubs weighing 120 pounds visit Mill Mountain Zoo near Roanoke Virginia. The white mutants differ from albinos and will grow whiter with age. The cubs are on loan from Columbus Ohio Zoo and will remain at Mill Mountain through Tuesday November 20.

A Martinsburg firm purchased Winter Place for 3.5 million dollars. Within a week nearly 20 workers joined maintenance and marketing, and about 300 seasonal positions will be added. The resort plans a post Thanksgiving opening with a full-service ski shop and bus parking. family season passes drop from 1600 to 875 if bought before November 25.
