Purses Save Student From Robbery On MT State Campus
On the Middle Tennessee State University campus in Murfreesboro a student faced an armed robbery attempt. Elizabeth Pittenger, 22, fought off the attacker and a bullet was stopped by her large purse, which contained a punctured calculator, umbrella, and small case. Police arrested Orlando Edmiston, 20, after locating a .38 caliber handgun.
