Boy Tells of Ugly Crimes and Murders Across Counties
A 16 year old boy named Matthew Sharp told ex sheriff J D Woorer of Lincoln County of a gang led by three men including Walter Stewart who allegedly robbed killed and committed robberies in Webster Weston Salt Lick and Hart's Creek areas. The boy says two younger boys accompanied the gang and that a wife died and was shot after death by one Stewart. The Lincoln Citizen pursues a state inquiry into the tale.
