David Jacobsen, 55, hailed at the White House after 17 months in captivity, urged reporters to back off on speculation about U S dealings to free hostages in Lebanon. He warned such talk could endanger remaining captives, while President Reagan declined to comment on alleged exchanges with Iran. Jacobsen described his joy as bittersweet due to others still held.
Hundreds of union workers returned to work Friday after a weeklong strike against General Telephone. The move restored normal service as installations resumed.
