Annual Red Cross Roll Call Set For Monday Luncheon
The American Red Cross will begin its annual drive Monday at a 12 o'clock luncheon at Appalachian Electric Power Co to recruit field workers. Goal is 3000 members with funds to aid Great Britain and support a full-time public health nurse. Blufield chapter led by D C Duncan will cover the city and Bramwell Matoka McComas Montcalm. Over 100 workers will serve through Thanksgiving. Bramwell workers meet tomorrow at the Masonic Temple. Local leaders include Mrs W D Martin and named volunteers.

Mrs Sampson Taylor aged 74 dies at her Matoaka home after a year with heart trouble. born May 20 1866 in Bramwell daughter of John and Nancy Hill she married in 1882 and lived in Mercer County most of her life. Survived by children in several states including Dr I W Taylor W Bowling Phillip Taylor Jessie Taylor and others. Funeral arrangements incomplete.
