Athens reports Greek forces shell the Italian base city of Koritza and cut communications with the main Italian army. Greek air raids supported by British planes hit Italian columns. others were destroyed at Koritza airdrome and over Piraeus. Athens endured its longest air raid alert of the year.
Incomplete returns from 37 of 77 McDowell precincts show Democratic candidates leading Republicans by over 4000 votes with expectations of a 7000 to 10000 majority as more precincts report. County offices such as county court assessor education and surveyor are listed among the races.

In Charleston on November 6 partial ward results list Auditor 639 of 2389 precincts with 134 399 votes for Fleming and 133 965 for Meadows. Treasurer Tal bott Morris and others at various precincts. Secretary of State O'Brien Hinerman. Superintendent Trent Shumaker. Commissioner premener of ture and state supreme court rose lobins hatcher maxwel with notable vote counts. Constitutional amendments Judicial yes 23156 no unless. Budget yes 15151 no 35050.
Vice President John N. Garner did not vote in the general election in Uvalde Texas. Officials said he did not cast an absentee ballot and left his precinct box unopened at 7 p.m. while hundreds of local residents participated.
Wendell Willkie spoke briefly to a shouting crowd in New York early today without conceding defeat as Roosevelt leads in the race. The dispatch notes a Willkie greeting to supporters amid mounting returns and mentions later coverage on page 16.
