Funeral for Jesse Lewis Jr. Held in Bluefield Home
Private funeral services were held at 4 PM at the Pedigo home for Jesse M. Lewis Jr. who died Friday night at Bluefield’s Bivefield sanitarium from complications after a personal safety related wound. Rev. C G Gunn and Dr Samuel W Moors assisted. interment followed at Monte Vista Park. Survived by his wife, Virginia, one child, four sisters and two brothers. sister Ruth Lewis of Hast Radford visited during illness. Mr Lewis, 41, born in Cascade Virginia, had moved to Bluefield twelve years earlier, worked with International Harvester, then led Morton Motor company as president and GM. active in civic and charitable work, Rotary, Salvation Army campaigns, Masonic Fraternity, and other city charities.
