Virginia Tech Land Swap Under Probe Over Conflict of Interest
Virginia Tech says it will cooperate with a prosecutor examining whether William B. Matthews Jr. had a conflict in a Dec. 31 land swap with the university. The case involves 257 acres given to Matthews and J D Nicewonder for 1,700 acres valued at 3.6 million dollars, with Matthews once serving as Tech athletic administrator.
