Lois Lambert of 408 Memorial Ave. recovered her diamond ring thanks to a Honest girl who returned it after her trick or treat gesture. Police say Mrs. I. M. Sampson of 400 Parkway reported the daughter brought the ring home with Halloween loot following a newspaper story of the loss. The ring slipped off Lambert’s finger when she applied lotion before giving out treats.

Young Boy Freddie Kilby Waives Murder Charge
Freddie Kilby, 13, charged with murder of his father Mark Kilby, appeared before Squire A. M. St. Clair in McDowell County and waived preliminary hearing.
