At a Thursday meeting the Pocahontas Woman's Club decided to aid the local high school by funding the library. They donated 30 dollars, to be matched by the county and doubled by the state, and held a successful Tag-day event for the Americana Encyclopedia. The club sent 120 library volumes plus a ten volume Colliers encyclopaedia, a ten volume Times Gazette encyclopaedia, and a three volume Century dictionary donated by George W. Butt, with thanks expressed to all supporters.
