Bluefield Finalizes Opioid Settlement Sharing Plan
Bluefield has approved a release to join state opioid settlement talks with Janssen Johnson and Johnson and other firms. City and Mercer County officials say releases and an MOU with Attorney General Morrisey set up a nonprofit foundation to distribute funds for abatement once settlements are allocated.

Separate trials set for two charged with murder
Nichole Brooks and her daughter Isis Wallace, both of Bluefield, appeared in Circuit Court for a motions hearing. They face first degree murder, conspiracy and wanton endangerment charges after a 13 year old girl was killed in a March shooting.
