Ballard and Hurst Seek 12th District Seat in Giles County
Voters in Giles County will choose between incumbent Democrat Chris Hurst and Republican Jason Ballard in a race for the 12th District seat representing Radford, Giles County and parts of Montgomery and Pulaski counties. Ballard, a veteran and attorney, serves in the U S Army Reserve and runs Headley Ballard LLC. Hurst, former journalist, pushed gun safety and conservation since first winning in 2017. Local races include two at large supervisor seats and two at large school board seats, with unopposed candidates. A Pearisburg mayoral race also features unopposed Robert L. Dickerson. A special election is also noted.
