A morning fire at the S. B. Robinette store on Peck and Barger streets began about 1 15 when Robinette heard crackling from his upstairs room. Firefighters arrived late, but a closed door kept flames contained until water opened inside. Loss is about 300 dollars, fully insured, with origin near the floor and rats suspected.
