Horse dies ends Bluefield-Tazewell Santa run Champ obituary
The 30 year old horse Champ that pulled Bluefield Virginia Christmas and Independence Day parades and the Santa buggy for 14 years died May 13. Andy Hodock recalls buying Champ at age eight and using him to portray Santa after stepping in when no Santa could be found.
