London May 18 The British Admiralty has ordered warships to Santiago de Cuba and Havana. It is believed England has been notified that these cities will be bombarded at once.

It is believed Oregon has joined Admiral Sampson's squadron along with the gunboat Marietta and the dynamite cruiser Buffalo recently added to strengthen the force.
The Fourteenth Brooklyn Regiment New York National Guard under Lieutenant Colonel Fred D. Grant departed for Chicamauga. Thousands of spectators cheered as the unit boarded the train and Grant declared the regiment would give a good account of itself.
The United States cruiser Charleston departed Mare Island today bound for the Philippines carrying relief for Admiral Dewey. The ship was heavily loaded with coal and ammunition, heading toward Manila.
Rumor from Washington on May 18 states Roosevelt's Rough Riders may be sent to Cuba at once. The report mentions Pennsylvania troops as part of the potential deployment.
