Athens Faces Decision on I-77 Connector Route
Dozens of residents attended an Athens DOH public meeting to review four proposed routes for a new I-77 connector between Athens and Princeton. Alternatives 1 2A 2B and 3 would affect homes and businesses. costs are estimated at 27 to 31 million dollars with no funding set. Residents urged options that disturb fewest families while preserving Athens character. Deadline for comments is June 12 to the West Virginia Division of Highways.
