A mass convention of Republican voters in Mercer County is convened in Bluefield on May 16 1908 at 11:00 AM to choose 24 delegates for the State Nominating Convention in Charleston West Virginia July 8 1908 and to nominate county officers for the November 3 1908 election including clerk positions prosecutor sheriff assessor and other posts. Delegates will also elect an Executive Committee and its chairman and secretary from each magisterial district using a weighted vote based on Roosevelt 1904 ballots.
