Mystery surrounds boy's death as policy links emerge
In Helton Washington ten year old Shawn Lawrance drowned after a fishing outing with his adoptive father. An autopsy found accidental death but an insurance investigator later revealed two life policies totaling 650000. The case became a homicide probe as investigators noted a history of financial distress and odd handling of Shawn's remains before cremation. The Lawrances have not been charged and deny involvement.
