Area Renal Dialysis Services To Be Expanded
The Southern West Virginia Regional Health Council won state approval to expand renal dialysis and build a new 3,398 sq ft facility to serve eight counties plus Mercer. The project includes four extra stations, home training for dialysis, in center self care, ambulatory peritoneal dialysis, and an isolation unit for hepatitis patients. Funding through revenue bonds will be repaid by patient fees and third party resources, mainly Medi Care. Construction is modular and expected ready for occupancy late August or early September if no problems arise.
