A collision on U S Route 52 between Eckman and Keystone killed a female passenger and left her husband in critical condition at Charleston Area Medical Center amid widespread flooding and slides in McDowell County. Three children survived with minor injuries while agencies mobilized around the clock as boil water advisories were issued and relief efforts coordinated from Coalwood’s Country Corner to the House of Hope Ministry.
