Samanis Club Attends Funeral During National Music Week
Bluefield Kiwanis Club observed National Music Week with a program led by James Elmer Brown and featuring Mrs. J. C. Nichols. The club mourned the death of B. L. Waterman, Royal Work director and honorary member, prompting a draft resolution by W. Abrams, H. Hendon, and Ben H. Williams. The funeral service was attended by club members, while the International attendance contest showed the Bluefield club below its average but still a strong state contender. Visitors included Elmanian Kk, G. Ayers, S. Wolfe, R. Lipagina, P. A. Miller, W. Hadden, C. F. Underhill, Mrs. Peat Brammer, and W. G. Schade.
