Local cat in Bluefield gets pacemaker implant
Gambit a 12 year old cat owned by Mrs. Oca Turner of Edgewood Road returned home Friday after a pacemaker was implanted Monday in southwestern Virginia nation’s few pets to have such a device. The cat bred from a white Persian and Siamese by their daughter Debra Gillespie began making a strange noise three months ago prompting the investigation and veterinary care.
