MacMillan Arctic Expedition Aims for Unknown Lands
The plan by Commander MacMillan under the National Geographic Society to use amphibian aircraft for recon flights over Greenland Baffin Island Labrador and nearby regions seeks new mapping of untrodden Arctic areas. Base at Htat or Julianehaab in Greenland and flights from Nova Scotia to Labador coast aim to test Norse ruins Inuit lore and elusive interior geography with long-range aerial mapping and coastal landings.
