International debate follows the release of long secret 1945 Yalta records. Churchill calls American account flawed while Moscow hints at a possible Soviet edition. Dulles defends timing as House and senators weigh political impact.
Vice President Nixon told Chicago business leaders there was no deliberate effort to sell out to the Communists at Yalta. He noted concessions came from ignorance of the Communist nature and need for Soviet support, but he warned the pact harmed the United States and the free world. Senator Dirksen, with him, called for disclosure of censored Yalta papers in State Department archives.
London March 17 Prime Minister Churchill said there are serious mistakes in the U S record of the Yalta conference and Britain may publish its own version He warned that early publication of such records could hinder free exchange of views at future conferences He noted the U S edition is not an agreed official record and promised to study full texts when available
The United States Chamber of Commerce asserts no stock market collapse risk despite Senate stock exchange inquiry. It cites March reports from the Economic Advisers and Presidents Council indicating momentum in recovery, higher factory employment, record earnings, and strong construction and auto numbers.

Fred Skinner, 37, convicted Feb. 2 of first degree murder in the Christmas Eve slaying of his common law wife, Viola Ford, was sentenced to life imprisonment today in Hastings Court. Judge Oliver A. Pollard ordered the term after a probation officer's report. The woman was beaten with a chair and died later in a hospital. Skinner was tried without a jury.
The Eisenhower administration proposes 2.1405 billion dollars in new aid to non communist Asia. The funds target 15 countries from Afghanistan to Japan to accelerate development and regional cooperation. Harold Stassen says the program could raise annual regional productive capacity to 8500 billion dollars within eight years.

A 37 year old South Norfolk truck driver was acquitted of involuntary manslaughter in Nansemond County Circuit Court. Fred W. Four car passengers died at the scene. the fifth died en route to a hospital.
New York report cites Pat Ward describing how Mickey Jelke profited from her work in a high price vice ring. She testified Jelke demanded money and used threats as the case proceeds, with a retrial possible and a potential sentence up to forty years.

A Massachusetts Superior Court jury convicted 16 year old Peter Makarewicz Jr. of first degree murder for the November 4 slaying of a 15 year old neighbor girl Geraldine. The all male panel recommended life imprisonment, automatic under state law. The defendant showed no emotion during verdict. judge Louis Goldberg praised the fair verdict as guards prepared to transfer him to Charlestown.
