Conviction overturned for former West Virginia aging council chief
The Fourth Circuit reversed the 2006 conviction of Robert E. Graham, former executive director of the Wyoming County Council on Aging and All Care Home and Community Services. He had been sentenced to two years after being found guilty of cashing sick leave worth thirty one thousand one hundred twenty nine dollars without board approval. The panel ruled the district court and government erred in assuming he knowingly stole funds. Graham drew statewide attention in 2004 over a reported salary of four hundred fifty seven thousand dollars and over one hundred thousand dollars in benefits.

Fire wrecks historic structure in Tazewell downtown

Coyote bounty program finds success in Tazewell County
In the Burke's Garden area, a long running coyote control effort shows progress as 149 coyotes have been bagged in the last nine months and turned in for a $50 bounty.
