Talented Cast Selected For Captain Applajack at Beaver High
Ned Shott to star as Captain Applajack in the senior play to be staged April 1 at Beaver High School. Patty Anne Burgesa will play opposite him with a large cast featuring Jim Kahle Paula Anne Burgesd and many others as the ensemble. Rehearsals began after auditions held Thursday in the auditorium with judges Mrs. C. W. Jackson and Miss Rous Les Cole.

Better Music Club Meeting Highlights Student Talent
The Better Music Club at Mra Harry L. Grissom's pupils hosted Jean Sanders at the Sanders home on Lepapon Street. Colorful yellow and green decor graced the event with refreshments as Jean Sanders presented a chapter on early history of music. Piano numbers were performed by Jura Wood, Marjorie Smith, Jean Sanders, Billy Wood, and Tunlor Mulere.

Lambert Enters Guilford College Ambition Drives Alumnus Home
George Lambert, former Beaver student, travels from Bluefield to Guilford, N C to attend Guilford College. An alumnus of Beaver chapters of the National Honor Society, National Forensic League, and the National Thesplane, he plans to return to West Virginia to study law after military training.
