Final deployment ends for Top Gun era Tomcats
A 22 jet F-14 Tomcat fleet stationed on the USS Theodore Roosevelt will fly to Oceana Naval Air Station on Friday marking the last combat deployment of the Cold War era fighter. The aircraft return to Norfolk Saturday after six months supporting the Iraq war and will be replaced by F A 18 Super Hornets later this year.
