McDowell Water Customers Vote To Invite Officials To Community
Dissenting McDowell County Water customers urged Charleston officials to inspect the system. Rev. Clarence Fink said residents voted to send a written request to the Public Service Commission and Gov Rockefeller inviting a personal visit to verify years of inadequate water service and contamination concerns. Residents promise weekly Thursday meetings at 7 p.m. to press for improvements and refuse payment until water quality improves.
