The commission approved Doug Coleman of the Loewen Group to supply a cemetery marker at wholesale price and install granite steps. Walnut Grove Cemetery trustees, led by Roy Pruett and Weimer, launched a fund drive with First Century Bank aiding a trust moratorium. They cleared dead trees, added gravel, created a burial data base, and plan security improvements amid about 1550 burials on 13 acres, targeting vandalism and ongoing restorations.
