Ronald Hall, 43, appeared in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court charged with attempted murder and using a firearm during a crime. He allegedly rammed his wife Shelby Hall’s vehicle, held her hostage near the courthouse, and after a 50 minute standoff surrendered with multiple agencies involved. Bond hearings are not set. Hall is held without bond.

Welch Municipal Court records show several speeding pleas and traffic related charges. Judge Marshall Walls presided as Ryan Harman of Welch pleaded guilty to speeding while Jimmy Riggs of Roderfield also admitted speeding. Willis Scarberry and James Michael of Welch faced speeding and unsafe vehicle operation charges with guilty pleas.
State Police said two women, Jessica Taylor of Bland Virginia and Rose Hedges of Montcalm, were injured in a two vehicle accident on U S Route 460 near a KO store in Green Valley at 2 30 p m. Taylor was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
