West Virginia heart center plan moves forward
A Mercer County merger effort between Princeton Community and Bluefield Regional hospitals advances as they seek a certificate of need for a heart center. Raleigh General Hospital plans to file its own CON, while others push for a moratorium until new HCA standards emerge. The two Mercer County facilities back a centralized site, potentially near interchanges, with executive contact names designated for the filing process.
