In a national pair championship several hundred pairs played the same hand. Six spades was the dominant contract, with some reaching seven spades and a few sticking to four spades. West led hearts, and many six spade declarers erringly went down one after quick play or a heart ruff. Careful defense and counting aces and ruffs could have saved the slam.
