An unidentified woman is helped to an awaiting ambulance after a modified motor home burst into flames on Interstate 35 at the Cajon Pass near San Bernardino California. Ten people including five children were killed and 17 others injured as the 25 person bus exploded and burned. State troopers said the vehicle began smoking on the shoulder, rolled backward, and hit a truck after passengers escaped through windows. The truck then struck a five person station wagon, injuring two. The back of the bus contained the ten victims whose bodies were burned beyond recognition by the heat.
