Democratic County Convention Debacle at Princeton
A crowded Democratic county convention at Princeton was disrupted by a protracted dispute with Anti-Saloon League elements and a noisy factional split. Speakers clashed over nominations for county offices and legislative seats, leading to adjournment and a claim that Dry Republicans would still back the ticket. The event concluded with announced nominees for sheriff, county clerk, circuit clerk, prosecuting attorney, assessor, and other posts, while district committee elections were set for July 11.
