City seeks more volunteers for Youth Works program
Bluefield officials urge local citizens to host or participate in the national Youth Works program which provides minor home repairs and painting for low income and elderly residents. Only five owners requested help this summer, and Richelle Davis is coordinating volunteer contact at 324-0754. The board also discussed off site billboard signage along Route 460, a closed Rockbridge street hearing, and the Wagner Plan for property division. The Street Fair planning proceeds with a concert kickoff on Aug 2 and a charity auction sponsor search. The 2001 audit received an unqualified opinion from the state.
