Hospital Closing Moves On Schedule In West Virginia
Assistant Director Paul Crabtree said Barboursville Hospital is on target to close in early August. Patient census fell to 23 from 178. about 50 staff remain of 148, with six nurses to transfer to Huntington Hospital this week. Most patients were relocated to Huntington, Spencer, Weston, and Lakin, with some placed under community mental health supervision or in nursing homes.
