War and waste: U.S. ponders Afghan boost
The piece analyzes up to date Afghan aid, wasteful spending, and corruption tied to uniforms and security forces. It notes the Pentagon overpaid for camouflage uniforms by as much as 28 million over a decade, with a forest pattern chosen by a single Afghan official. The discussion includes Mattis and Trump strategy plans and calls for improved approaches and budgeting.
