Special grand jury to consider Walter Nunley case in Rocky Mount
A special grand jury is expected to be summoned tomorrow to consider a charge that Walter Nunley of Huntington West Virginia, age 44, criminally attacked a 9 year old girl in Franklin County. The child was released from a Roanoke hospital this morning. Deputy Sheriff Wilson Abshire and Constable H T Abshire arrested Nunley near the scene and he is jailed locally. The child walked a mile to a neighbor's home and was taken to Boone Mill Hospital by Dr C L Dillon.
